3 BEST PODCASTS RIGHT NOW

07/02/2017

Remember when I listed some podcasts I had started listening to about a year ago when I was taking a radio class at the uni? Well, me neither since I'm no longer listening to those podcasts and have found some pretty good new ones!

I take these with me whenever Iäm driving somewhere, going running, walking to class... I listen to podcasts whenever I can't read and do what Iäm doing at the same time. I haven't really gotten into audiobooks but podcasts I like since they are usually shorter and you can listen to one episode on your way to work or something.

Without further ado, let's get to it!

Wow. I mean, I have listened to over 30 episodes in just little over a month. For me, that is a lot. Criminal is a true crime podcast that showcases sometimes gruesome, sometimes just plain weird things happening in the United States. The host, Phoebe Judge, has a very pleasant voice and the audio work on these is just amazing. I suggest you start from the beginning but if you are looking for special treats, try episodes 5 (Dropping like flies) or 26 (Angie). Criminal is available on iTunes and SoundCloud. They also have a website a www.thisiscriminal.com.

Self Made Man is hosted by Mike Dillard, a Texas based entrepreneur and motivational speaker, and his background really shows in his podcast. The episodes are full of motivational talk and entrepreneurs sharing their secrets to success. I personally like listening to this show because it gives me motivation and an extra boost to reach for my goals in life. It also makes me laugh sometimes: these people are so deep in the entrepreneurial bubble that as a university student in Finland, their hype about certain things is pretty ridiculous. (P.s. Mike's ending music is also epic and makes me smile everytime.)

Art of Charm is very similar to Self Made Man but I feel that it is less ridiculous. Yes, there is a lot of motivational talk. Yes, there are many guests sharing their secrets to success. But somehow this show feels more real and connected to real life. I particularly enjoyed episode 583: AoC Toolbox, where the guys talk about imposter syndrome. (Don't know what that is? Listen to the podcast!) I very much related to that.

Vanhalta listalta en kuuntele juuri mitään enää, vaan tilalle on löytynyt uudet suositkit.

Self Made Man on teksasilaisen Mike Dillardin podcast, joka keskittyy nimenomaan yrittäjyyteen ja tulojen kasvattamiseen.
